What INARA, operated by Priyanshu Nada, collects, why, and who sees it.

If you apply for INARA

Your name, mobile number and email; your motel's name, city, state and number of rooms; how many motels your family runs; who told you about INARA; and the language you prefer. We also record when you agreed to this policy and the internet address the form came from, to stop abuse. We use it to call you about your application and, if you join, to set up your account. If someone referred you, they don't see your application.

If you use INARA at a motel

Your name, email, role and sign-in records, and what you do in the app, so a family can see who did what.

If you work at a motel and get job texts: your name, mobile number, the language of your texts, the jobs you were sent, your replies, and when and how you agreed to the texts.

If you stay at a motel that uses INARA

The motel decides what it holds about your stay. Through INARA that can be your name, mobile number, email, booking dates and room, the texts between you and the motel, whether you agreed to texts, and whether you replied STOP. We use it only to run that motel's stay and its messages. Other motels don't see it.

Guest information is used only for that motel's operations. It is never sold or shared for marketing.

If you text a motel's number and it doesn't have your number yet, it keeps your number and what you sent, so someone there can answer. No AI reads it until someone links it to a guest, and no other motel sees it.

Mobile numbers and texting

Mobile numbers and opt-in data are never sold or shared for marketing.

How people agree to texts is on the opt-in page, and the program's terms are on the SMS terms page.

Who helps us

Companies that do a specific job for us, under contract, and only for that job: Twilio carries the texts. Anthropic's AI reads guests' texts so INARA can sort them and suggest a reply for a person at the motel to approve. A transactional email service delivers account emails, which never include anything about a guest. Sentry receives error reports, with phone numbers, names and message text taken out first. Railway and Cloudflare host the service, and encrypted backups are kept with Cloudflare.

How long we keep it

As long as the motel's account needs it, and records of who did what for up to seven years. A guest's personal details can be deleted on request; the motel keeps the business record of the booking, with no guest attached.

If a motel stops using INARA, its guest data is deleted on request. Copies in encrypted backups are gone within 30 days, and the record that it was deleted is kept.
